Quick Definitions:
- Kanji: Adopted chinese characters used in Japanese, consists of 2,136 characters, advanced.
- Kana: is mainly Hiragana and Katakana. the modern japanese writing system consists of Kanji, Kana (Hiragana and Katakana) and Romaji.
- Furigana: the pronunciation of the complex Kanji using Kana (Hiragana and katakana).

Great tool for easy translating... It would be wonderful to have a male voice option...
We had a Japanese exchange student for a week, and this app worked well in helping us communicate - at least I think we were understanding each other.
I really like. The only thing that would improve it is if it also contained the romaji to help with pronunciation.
Worked great until January update. Now it crashes with every translation.
My wife is a professional Japanese -English translator. When I showed her what the app did with the translation "are you hungry" she laughed. Not only that her parents did not understand what it said either. She has warned me many times computer translations to Japanese do not work very well, after showing what the Google site did to a simple question. Save your 99 cents.
